Running data loads from the command line

You can run the iLoader Client from the command line or via a shortcut, with arguments that affect its behavior.

Arguments are identified by a hyphen (-) or a forward-slash (/). Arguments can have one of two forms:

  • A flag - flags are simply a hyphen or forward-slash followed immediately by the name of the flag
  • A name-value pair (NVP) - NVPs are similar to flags but identified by the inclusion of a delimiter; either a space ( ) or a colon (:). The value before the NPV delimiter is the argument name, and the part following the delimiter is the argument value.

Argument values can optionally be qualified by encasing in double quotes ("). If no qualifier is present, the argument value is assumed to extend to the start of the next argument or to the end of the command line, whichever comes first.

Argument names are not case-sensitive.

Example:

iLoaderClient.exe -Project:Project1

and

iLoaderClient.exe /Project:Project1

and are the equivalent of the "Project" argument NVP.
